Tips for your cleaning go more smoothly

How to Prepare For Your Upcoming Cleaning

Declutter

Your house cleaner will not organize your cluttered surfaces.

Pick up toys, junk mail, loose change, and whatever else found its way to your counter tops or tables. The less clutter you have around, the higher the chances that nothing will get skipped and the easier it will be for your house cleaner to focus on more important tasks.

Do Your Laundry & Dishes

Unless specified, laundry and dishes are not included in a typical cleaning. Getting dishes out of the sink and laundry up out of the way will help your cleaning professional have time to focus on their duties.

Special Requests

Make a list of things that are most important to you during your cleaning. If you know that one room may need more attention than others, make sure your cleaner knows as well.

If there is a specific way you’d like things done, or certain products used/avoided, it’s important to write it down and go over them with the team before they start. Although not every special request may be possible, it’s always important to communicate your expectations.

Valuables

While we are very diligent in taking the utmost care of your home, sometimes accidents happen. If you have any valuable or sentimental items that could potentially get damaged, we suggest putting them in a safe place until your cleaning is finished. If the items need to stay out to be cleaned, make sure to communicate with your cleaner about them. High end and or antique items require different cleaning procedures and could potentially be damaged with improper care.

Pets

Please be sure to inform your cleaning professional about your pets. If possible, crate your pups during cleanings and let us know if you have any escape artists in the house!

We may enter and exit multiple times to retrieve items/take out trash and need to know if you have a pet that may attempt to sneak through an open door.

Know What Expectations To Have

Whether you’ve booked a general or deep clean, sometimes your first cleaning may not cover every inch of your home. This is why it’s important to discuss your priorities with your cleaner before your cleaning.
